I’m wondering if I should offer monochrome versions of my color comics, because it occurs to me that not everyone in my target audience craves color overstimulation the way I do.
For comparison :
Lots of graphic design work going into this phase. The mechanical stuff like tinkering with the website, etc. Which is good, because the art momentum is happening slower than I’d like. This past motivation injury was probably the worst I’ve ever experienced, but I am healing from it. I’ve learned so much about myself and what motivates me, and when I reach 100% again, it will be much more difficult -if not impossible- to stop me.
I’ve had to adjust my attitude about the way this project is received. Times have changed, and even though everything is cyclical, we happen to be in the really shitty part of the cycle where gasping and pearl-clutching are the norm, even among comic book fans. “OH MY STARS, IS THAT A BARE BREAST?!”
Yes, I’m afraid there will be even more bare breasts in the future. And sex. Lots of sex. And drugs. And sacrilege. And possibly a rather large strap-on dildo. I’m so sorry I have to do this to you guys, but there’s going to be some bare ass in there as well. But it will be okay. No one’s forcing you to look at this stuff. Except maybe the voices in your head, but that sounds more like a ‘you’ problem.
